Jenny-Lee Irons
❊ Founder, Specialist Teacher of SEND & Qualified SENCo (NASENCo)
Hello, I’m Jenny-Lee Irons
I am a parent and a qualified SENDCo (NASENCo), with extensive experience in teaching children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in both Special and Mainstream Schools.
I have extensive experience in listening to and offering advice to parents or carers. I have specialist training and experience in teaching pupils with a broad range of SEND Needs and Neurodiversity.
My experience includes but is not limited to supporting children with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia and pupils with complex learning and physical needs, PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
As a SENDCo and parent, I understand the complexities of the SEND system and the very real challenges families face when trying to navigate it, often on their own. I know how overwhelming, slow and uncertain the process can feel — and how important it is to have clear and reliable guidance.
My aim is to make the SEND journey clearer and more manageable, helping parents and carers develop a strong understanding of the SEND processes and where further support can be sought, if needed. I empower families to feel informed, confident, and well prepared, so they can work collaboratively with their child’s school to ask meaningful questions and ensure the right support and provision is offered in the educational setting.
Through clear advice, practical guidance and a calm, supportive approach, I help parents create a focused plan of next steps — always centred on what will best support their child’s learning, development, and well-being.
How I work
My approach is child-focused and collaborative, recognising that every family’s circumstances are unique.
I start by listening carefully — taking the time to understand your child, your concerns and your current stage in the SEND journey. From there, I offer clear, practical advice tailored to your family, helping you make sense of your options, the processes involved, and the next steps in a way that feels achievable.
I work in partnership with families to prepare for discussions, meetings, and key decisions, promoting confident and constructive, collaborative communication with school staff. Open, honest and respectful communication between families and school is essential when keeping your child at the centre of your discussions.
Throughout our work together, my goal is to ease feelings of overwhelm, strengthen understanding, and help you move forward with clarity and confidence — always keeping your child’s learning, development and well-being at the heart of every decision.
The ‘SENclusivity’ Tutoring sessions are unique, as they incorporate the five SEND/ Developmental area’s. Each session is planned to meet your individual child’s needs. The ‘SENclusivity’ Tutoring sessions are offered ‘in person’ only in the South West London area.
What I value…
Trust
Families deserve advice they can trust. I work with honesty, integrity and compassion, providing guidance rooted in professional experience and firmly aligned with the SEND Code of Practice. At the core of my work is creating a safe, supportive environment where parents feel genuinely heard, valued and understood.
Collaboration
As a parent, you know your child best! Your hopes and dreams for your child’s education, is paramount. The most positive outcomes for children are achieved when parents, schools and professionals work in partnership. I support families in developing constructive, collaborative relationships with their child’s school, fostering a shared understanding, open communication and a clear path forward.
Clarity
The SEND process can feel complex and overwhelming particularly at this time of so much uncertainty in SEND Education in schools and the SEND Reform. My role is to make processes and expectations clearer and more manageable — outlining next steps and explaining options in a simple, straight forward manner, so that parents can make informed decisions with confidence.
